How to Expire an Event?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In Nunify, managing events effectively is crucial to ensure a clear and organized experience for all users. Occasionally, you may encounter situations where an event cannot be deleted, leading to potential confusion among attendees or organizers. By expiring such events, you ensure they become hidden but retain historical data for reference or reporting purposes.

1. This documentation describes how to expire an event within the Admin portal.

Expiration is particularly useful for managing events that cannot be deleted, as it prevents confusion while retaining event data.

2. In the Event Dashboard, click on the Settings option located on the left-hand side.

3. Under Settings, click on the "Current Package" Tab.

4. Next, click on the expire event button as shown below.

5. A module appears. Click on the Yes button to initiate the expire the event.

6. After clicking on "Yes" button, the event is expired and Attendees will not be able to access the event.

Additionally, consider renaming the event to include a clear note, such as '[Expired]' or '[Inactive],' to further reduce confusion and distinguish it from ongoing events.

By expiring the event, it hides the event from the users. You will still be able download any content/data from the event once it has expired.

To further improve event management, plan event setup and schedules carefully to avoid unnecessary expirations and duplicate events.
