Understanding Event Duplication in Nunify

Duplicating an event in Nunify allows you to save time by carrying over key configurations and content from an existing event into a new one. However, not all elements are duplicated. This guide outlines what gets copied and what doesn’t when you duplicate an event.

What Gets Copied Over

When duplicating an event, the following configurations and assets are carried over:

  1. Check-in Configuration
All settings related to attendee check-in are copied.

    • Custom app themes, colours and layouts are carried forward.

    • Includes app assets such as:

      • intro screens

      • Cover images

  3. Venue Details

    • Venue name and venue link.

    • Locations and meeting rooms.

    • Pre-configured meeting slots.

  4. User Groups
All user group configurations are duplicated.

  5. Ticketing and Coupons

    • Ticket types.

    • Active coupon codes for ticket discounts.

  6. Registration Settings

    • Default and additional fields, including dependencies.

  7. Mailer Settings
All mailers are duplicated, including templates and configurations.

  8. Badge Designs
Existing badge designs are carried forward.

  9. Stripe Token for Payments
Payment configurations through Stripe remain intact.

  10. Reports
    Previously configured reports are duplicated.

  11. Gamification Features and Settings
All gamification options and their settings are copied.

  12. Content Pages
All event-related content pages including Agenda are carried forward.

  13. Collaborators (if selected)
Collaborators can be duplicated if chosen during the duplication process.

What Doesn’t Get Copied Over

Certain data and elements are not carried forward to ensure the new event remains fresh and free of historical or user-specific information:

  1. Users
Attendee and participant data are not copied over.

  2. Analytics
All analytics and metrics from the original event are reset.

  3. Timeline Posts
Any posts made on the event timeline will not be duplicated.

  4. User Interactions
Includes likes, comments, chats and engagements from the original event.

  5. Notifications
Previously sent or scheduled notifications are not carried over.
