How to bulk import sponsors?

1. In the event dashboard click on "Content" from the side bar.


2. Click on "Sponsors" feature page.


3. On the top toolbar, click on “Import”. This will open the sponsors import page.


4. On the sponsors import page, there are 2 modes through which you can import sponsors.

5. Mode 1: Add sponsors while keeping the existing sponsors - In this mode, once the import file is uploaded, the sponsors will be added along with the existing sponsors in your event.


6. Mode 2: Delete existing sponsors and replace them with new sponsors - In this mode, once the import file is uploaded, the existing sponsors will be deleted and replaced by the new import file.

8. Click on the mode in which you want to make the import. Once selected, click on “Next” to go to the file upload page.


9. On the file upload page, click on “Download Template” on the right to download the template in which you can fill up the details of the sponsors.


10. Once downloaded, fill the excel sheet with all the sponsors’ details. Note that errors will be shown on the summary page if mandatory columns aren’t filled. The mandatory column for including a sponsor is - Category and Name.

11. Once the sponsors’ details are filled in the excel sheet, click on “Choose File” on the left and upload the filled excel sheet.


12. Editing existing sponsor details

Select Mode 1 (Keep existing sponsors and add/update sponsors from Excel).


13. Once selected, click on “Next” to go to the file upload page.


14. On the file upload page, click on “Download all existing sponsors” on the right to download the excel sheet with all the information filled about the existing sponsors.


15. The downloaded excel sheet will have an ID column. This is the system-generated ID for a sponsor which is used to update the details of the sponsor. DO NOT CHANGE THE ID OF A SPONSOR.

16. Once the sponsors’ details are updated in the excel sheet, Click on “Choose File” on the left and upload the filled excel sheet and click "Next".


17. Mapping columns of the excel sheet to the appropriate field -

Once the filled excel sheet is uploaded, click on “Next”. This will open up the column mapping page. On this page, you can accurately match the excel sheet columns to the appropriate fields present in the sponsor form.

18. If a column mapping is highlighted in cream, it means that the system has tried to match the column to the closest appropriate field.

19. If a column mapping is highlighted in grey, it means that the system couldn’t identify the closest appropriate field for a column and the column is automatically ignored and will not reflect on any sponsor’s information.

20. StepTo match a column to the appropriate field manually, click on the dropdown under “Mapped Column” and choose the desired field.

21. To match a column to the appropriate field manually, click on the dropdown under “Mapped Column” and choose the desired field.


22. Summary and Import -

Once the column mapping is done accurately, click on “Next”. This will open the summary page.


23. The summary page will contain all the details regarding your import which include sponsors that are being added, sponsors that are being updated, sponsors that are being deleted, etc.

24. Make sure the summary is as expected and click “Next”. The import is now successfully done and will reflect on the “Sponsors” page.
