What are the Select and Choice Field Types in your Registration Form?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Select fields allow you to provide attendees with a fixed list of options to choose from. These are ideal when you want to limit input to predefined answers and standardise responses for easier filtering and reporting.

Select Field Types

1. Dropdown

Attendees can select only one option from a dropdown list. This helps streamline responses and prevent free-text errors.

2. Multiselect

Attendees can select multiple options from a dropdown. Useful when the question allows more than one answer.

Choice Field Types

1. Single Choice

Shows all options as radio buttons, where the attendee can select only one response. Once a selection is made, it automatically deselects any other option.

2. Multi Choice

Displays options as checkboxes, allowing the attendee to select more than one response. All options are visible, and users can tick multiple boxes.

Configurable Options

  • Field Name* – The label or question shown to the attendee

  • This Field is Required – Enable this to make the field required for form submission

  • Visible Conditionally, if – Show this field only when a specific option is selected in a previous field. You can set conditional visibility based on previously created fields of Dropdown or Single Choice type

  • Restrict Availability –
You can set a maximum number of times each option can be selected. Once that limit is reached, the option will be disabled for others. Useful when you have limited seats or inventory for specific items like sessions, workshops, or giveaways.
