How to Update the 'Language' and Manage 'Translations' for an Event

1. Open your event's dashboard and click on the "Edit" button.

2. Click on the "Languages" section

3. You can update the primary and additional languages by selecting the appropriate options from the dropdown menu.

Tip: The primary language is the default language in which the event app will be displayed. Additional languages are those that attendees will be prompted to select before entering the event. If an additional language is chosen, the event app will switch to the selected language, provided the necessary translations exist under Manage Translation. Nunify’s robust translation system allows you to easily modify text throughout the system, ensuring a smooth multilingual experience for end-users.

4. Click on the "Manage translations" section

5. You can update the fields or add new content next to each corresponding label.

6. Once you have updated the fields, click on “Save translations” button to save it.

7. Updating Specific Labels: Example of the Cancel Button

For specific labels, like the cancel button, Nunify allows you to update them separately. To change the label of a cancel button, follow these additional steps:

  1. Locate the label global.labels.cancel within the translation management section.

  2. Modify the text to your desired translation.

  3. Save your changes, and the new label will replace the default one in the app. You can also search for specific words or phrases you wish to update using the search functionality on the translation management page. For example, type in a keyword related to the word you want to locate for easier editing.

8. Tips and Common Issues

  • Ensure that the translation text you provide is accurate and appropriate to avoid confusion for end-users.

  • If you cannot locate a label, double-check the spelling or try using keywords related to the label’s function.

  • Custom translations should be tested after updating to confirm they display correctly.
